Happy Birthday Amra (March 15th) and Mike (February 29th HOW COOL IS THAT). We got to celebrate a few birthdays while we were here. And ofcourse we had to throw a party for each one of them.
For Amra's Birthday we went out to Ruby Skye downtown San Francisco. Ruby Skye is the nicest club I have ever been to. Stained-glass portraits circa-1814 highlight the club's decor while maintaining an old-school flavor. (The place once housed the historic Stagecoach Theatre.) The lighting system casts an oceanic effect on the dance floor--very Cirque du Soleil feel. We had a lot of fun and we didn't get home to 5 am.
For Mike's party we went out to Delerium Cocktails. This place played some good music and had a nice rock feel to it. The neon sign in front reads: "Service for the Sick." Here you will find all the things that help make great bars: a pool table, pinball machines, rock-and-roll poster art and TV monitors tuned to ESPN. There's also a great back room equipped with vinyl banquettes and a DJ booth. The dance floor was rammed with people. This place was pretty cool.
